Parent Involvement Officer - Part-time 28 hours per week £22,714- £23,362 pro rata (Ref:F1003)
The post holder will be required to develop, promote and facilitate support groups for parents of children with special needs to increase their engagement in consultation, planning and service development with statutory agencies.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to develop this exciting post. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability engage and motivate people at all levels.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to identify and build professional networks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to parents of children and young people with special needs
- Group development skills
- Ability to research and take a strategic view of relevant national and local policy and guidance
- Excellent organisational abilities and experience of managing information events

We need an enthusiastic and motivated person to manage a supported living scheme for two women with a learning disability. The right person will be very organised, able to skilfully coordinate a team, provide high quality support and have experience in supporting lively and determined people with high support needs and complex health needs.
