Positive Behaviour Support Workers (Ref: PBSW-1117)

£20,202 per annum

37 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, bank holidays, waking nights and sleep-ins.

We are recruiting for a brand new Positive Behaviour Support Service!

We have an exciting opportunity opening up as we look to recruit a new team of friendly and positive people to work in a brand new bespoke supported living project for a young man with autism, mild learning disabilities and complex behaviours, who is moving to his own home for the first time in Barnet, North London.

We are looking for calm and compassionate people to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of the young man we support; to empower him to make choices and help him build and maintain relationships with his family and friends. You will help him to develop interests and attend exciting activities and assist with everyday living – including his personal care and health needs – whilst actively encouraging his independence.

The right candidates will have a high attention to detail to be able to provide consistent support, maintain and follow guidelines and risk assessments closely in order to ensure the safety of the young man and the public. An understanding of autism and positive behaviour support would be advantageous. The role requires a proactive approach to responding to any triggers for risk behaviours, and maintaining warm and positive communication and a calm environment. Ideal candidates will also enjoy taking part in a range of sports and outdoor activities, as they will be regularly supporting the young man with these.

So if you are positive, flexible, have good communication, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills, this role may be just right for you!

We welcome Greek speaking applicants as the person we support speaks both Greek and English, however, this is not a necessity of the role.

A full clean EU driving licence is essential for this role.
