GETTING OUT AND ABOUT: ZOE
Zoe lives in Camden with her family and receives her personal budget as a direct payment. She used Centre 404's Finding and Matching Service to find a support worker, and was paired up with Jo.
Zoe found it difficult to attend college, go out into the community and meet new people because of her anxiety. This affected her confidence and her mental and physical health, which meant she became increasingly socially isolated. She now uses her support time to travel to new places and improve her health and fitness. So far she’s tried out climbing, tennis and boating!
“My support worker helps me use the bus with my freedom pass. They help me go places and do activities I want to do. This builds my confidence and self-esteem. I recently went to Thorpe Park for the day with my support worker Jo. We had a great time! I am hoping to go to Southend for the day soon”
