CENTRE 404 WAS THERE FOR ME WHEN I GOT ILL: TONY

Tony is a member of our Men’s group and a volunteer at our Friday Social club.

In January Tony was taken ill while at the Friday night disco. He needed emergency care for a serious brain trauma. Our staff liaised with healthcare workers to ensure he had access to the urgent medical treatment he required. Tony had the ongoing support of his friends and Centre 404 staff who visited him in hospital. He has since made an amazing recovery and was able to return to the Friday Social, much to the delight of staff and his friends.

“It was a scary experience and I am taking my recovery one day at a time. Everyday I am getting stronger and feeling more like my old self. Centre 404 have been very kind and helped me a lot, all my friends at 404 are always asking how I am feeling and if I need anything, just being here and having clubs and my friends looking forward to seeing me has helped me get better. The staff have all been brilliant and so, so kind. If I need to go early they call me a cab or take me back in the minibus, I have so many people at Centre 404 looking out for me and that has helped a real lot”
