We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our organisation in a key operational role. This post offers a unique opportunity for an experienced manager to join our Senior Management Team, and contribute to the success and development of a motivated workforce and day to day running of a front line charity. 

As an enthusiastic, proactive Head of Service, you will be helping to plan, deliver and evaluate group sessions for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for someone who wants an opportunity to develop their strategic management experience, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to helping people with learning disabilities by being responsive to their needs.

Existing experience of working with people with learning disabilities will be essential, along with management experience, as the role involves supervising the Assistant Managers, Coordinators and overseeing a team of 40 support staff.

In return, this post offers extensive scope for the right candidate to develop their skills and talents and work closely with the CEO, Trustees and Senior Management Team in developing operational strategy and delivering a wide range of projects and outcomes for staff and service users.

This is a demanding and rewarding role, and the right candidate will benefit from a detailed induction and handover from the outgoing post holder and ongoing support and training.

We have a fantastic new opening for a PA and Premises Manager to join our team. This integral post offers the opportunity for the post holder to contribute directly towards improving the experiences of service users and visitors to our centre.

The post-holder will support the CEO and board of Trustees, as well as oversee the smooth day to day running of our busy community premises. This post would be an ideal opportunity for someone to build on their solid experience already gained in a similar area of work and who is looking to develop their career and management experience in the voluntary sector.

We are recruiting for a brand new Positive Behaviour Support Service!

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated person who is committed to delivering high quality services, to manage a brand new bespoke supported living project for a young man with autism, mild learning disabilities and complex behaviours, moving to his own home for the first time in Barnet, North London.

The role will involve coordinating and providing excellent and consistent person centred care and support for the tenant in all areas of day-to-day living, enabling him to live independently, develop new interests and attend exciting activities. 

You will be overseeing the development and implementation of care plans, positive behaviour support plans and risk assessments, designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support. You will also be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect, dignity and consistent support, providing supervision and clear management to the team, as well as ensuring that the service meets legislative and organisational standards.  Leading a team to maintain guidelines, positive communication and proactively respond to risk behaviours will be essential.

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record in motivating, managing and developing staff, alongside a clear understanding of leadership responsibilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key, with an ability to respond cheerfully and keep a calm and low tone of voice in any emergency or adverse situations. Experience of supporting people with autism, behaviours that challenge and mental health needs is also crucial to this role.

The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining quality and continuous improvement of the project, through dialogue with the service user, his family and advocates. 

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and the ability to manage a varied workload, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and work positively as part of a team.

A full clean EU driving licence is essential for this role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be on the management team of a supported living project for 4 adults with learning disabilities and additional physical, sensory and communication support needs.

Working alongside the Project Manager and a team of Support Workers, you will provide excellent person centred care to ensure the tenants’ wellbeing, enabling independent and fulfilled living. This will involve supporting service users to take part in a range of meaningful and fun group activities, develop friendships and  access services, as well as support with all aspects of day-to-day living.  This may include working in partnership with family and advocates, where possible and appropriate.

With the support of the Project Manager, you will contribute to the development of the team and carry out delegated tasks as outlined in the job description. You will be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of Support Workers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and motivated person to provide management support for Centre 404’s Personal Support Worker Finding and Matching Service, which provides support to approximately 60 people with learning disabilities living in their own homes in North London.

The right person will be highly organised, manage a demanding and varied workload, assist the manager in providing high quality support and have experience in supporting vulnerable adults through a floating support service.  They will be flexible and able to respond well under pressure within a fast-paced environment.  IT skills, good time management, attention to detail and a good understanding of the personalisation agenda are essential for this post.  We are looking for somebody who is keen to develop their skills in line with the development of the service and play an active part in the growth of this innovative project.
