Family fun day10/08/2013

Thumb family fun

Our International Family Fun day on Wednesday 14th August was a great success!

Families and people of all ages had a great day and there was something for everyone! The kind people at Eclipse Cheerleading came to preform and teach people a few moves, which they then got to show off themselves to everyone at the event. The police were kind enough to bring sniffer dogs for everyone to meet. There was some great prizes to be won on many games and there was beautiful food on sale, including colourful cupcakes. There was also laughter yoga, drama workshops, boccia games, face painting and much much more! We hope that everyone who attended had a much fun as we did. Hope to see you all next year!

Children's Halloween Party31/10/2012

Thumb article thumb happy halloween

Happy Halloween !!!! What a fantastically spooky day we had at Centre 404’s Halloween Disco! There was music and dancing, party food, face painting, arts n crafts and of course Trick or Treating. What really made the day was seeing so many children (and adults!) dressed up in their scary costumes to get into the spirit (excuse the pun) of things!! 100 people turned up on the day and feedback from them was that it was very memorable and a great, fun way to spend a day during the half term. We’re already looking forward to next year!!

Our Thursday Garden and Growing Project has now started. Every Thursday from 2-4pm volunteers meet to take part in basic gardening activities. Coming back to the garden after the building work finished, we found the soil was in bad condition so we have now added two layers of compost and are ready to grow vegetables! So far we have planted spinach and rocket and hope to get in some radishes and beetroot soon. Last year’s growing project was a success and we had some of the tastiest salads leaves in Islington! (in our opinion anyway)
If you would like to join the group please take a look at the volunteer page for more information.
