Additional Support for Carers

We provide many opportunities for carers to receive support, have their say and meet other people. Through all of our work with carers, whether it be therapeutic, informative, or social, we aim to empower people to take an active part in the development and improvement of their individual circumstances and to share their experiences with others.

Talking Shop

Talking Shop is an open forum for parents of children with additional needs in Islington.  The purpose of this group is to enable parents to participate in consultations and to comment on developments in children’s services for disabled children, to receive feedback from professionals on updates in services and policies.  This is an important forum to gather the views and comments of parents/carers who would not normally engage with decision makers and other professionals.
