Work with families of Children with Additional Needs

childfamily

We provide services for parents and carers of a child with a disability up to 18 years of age, including a number of popular family activities, from the weekly clubs and discussion groups to group social outings. These are important access points as they offer an informal way to meet other families with similar experiences and raise awareness about our services.

We also support parents through weekly outreach sessions at Centre 404, providing local families the opportunity to drop in and ask questions as well as providing information, support and advocacy on a one to one basis around a variety of issues including education, welfare benefits and health and social care.

Another project in the south of the borough continues to support parents of children with additional needs from various locations in that area.
